My name is Scott Parker Howat. All of my friends call me Parker and a real good fr
iend of mine calls me Parkinni, which has stuck with me for the last several years.
In 1955, I contracted a disease called Polio. The doctors told my parents, that I would never be able to walk but through years of operations, rehabilitation and love, we moved forward and we were able to prove the doctors wrong.
My professional career led me down the path of Customer Service where I learned so much from a long list of so many folks ie; everyone I have come in contact with . We all maintain extraordinary talent and it is so important that we all find our way(s) to express it. The way I express myself is through my poetry and my music. (Some say; “Music feeds one’s soul.” It does mine.) About (3) years ago, I started playing the harmonica, gradually working my way into a number of other instruments. To date, I have written 200+ poems / songs about events that have happened in my life / other’s. I sing and play at certain events / parties, have written music for others and I play / write each day.
I will make weekly additions ( Blogs ) as we move forward with new material including the lyrics / poetry verses. Included also, will be some cover songs, and the original artists will be solely noted. As with most music, like a painting, a story will be told here, usually with a specific message, behind it. Hope you like what you hear.
Best to you all…
