Warm Hearted Dog
He’s my Warm Hearted Dog, hey, don’t you know
He’ll fetch his ball, right over there, just for show
And, when he’s on a Squirrel Chase, it’s like a Race Car Race
Like lightning in the sky, oh, watch him go
He likes to bark sometimes, in the night
He doesn’t always do those things that are so right
And when he’s barking at the moon, it’s such a glorious tune
He may have to go out, in the night
He’s a good friend to you and me, oh, he’s the best
He looks just like an angel, at his rest
Sometimes, he gets Loco and acts just like a pest
But, he’s my Warm Hearted Dog and he’s my best
Well, you know that it’s true, he’ll do many things for you
Like, give you one fine shirt, right off his back
And, that’s not all, you know, he’ll make that sunshine glow
Not an ounce of love, for you, he has, for you, he’ll lack
He’s my Warm Hearted Dog, hey, don’t you know

And, when he’s on a Squirrel Chase, it’s quite that rapid race
Like lightning, in the sky, oh, watch him go
So, this is my best friend, the love we have, won’t end
No matter if all those trees burn up in that Wood
He’s always, right there in my heart, we’re never far apart
And, I’d pet him soft again, only if I could ….
